Join us on Friday, May 15th at 7 p.m. for Vocalist Minkyeong Kim with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. This concert is free to the public - please invite your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc.!

About Minkyeong Kim

From South Korea, Minkyeong Kim completed her Professional Studies Diploma at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) where she received the Joseph B. McClelland Scholarship for Voice. Ms. Kim has studied at the CIM with Dr. Mary Schiller, and received the Dewey and Mary Gilley Memorial Award, which is awarded to the finest Opera singer, at her graduation. In 2012, she placed third in the Ohio NATS competition. Ms. Kim received both her BM and MM with honors at Kyunghee University in Seoul, South Korea. During her graduate studies program at Kyunghee University, Ms. Kim earned full ride scholarships as well. She also completed the AMI Academy Course for Voice in Rome, Italy.  Minkyeong Kim has performed as a soloist throughout the United States, China, Thailand and Singapore, in addition to her native South Korea. She also had numerous recitals in the greater Cleveland area. She sang the Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte for the OTM Company, Seoul. At CIM, she played the Fairy Godmother (Cendrillon), Dew Fairy (Hänsel und Gretel) and Carolina (Il matrimonio segreto), Fire (L’Enfant et les Sortileges), Linda (Linda di Chamounix), and Adele (Die Fledermaus). In October 2024, Ms. Kim was invited to perform at the Tri-C Community College's Western Theater as a guest artist. She is a resident of Westlake, Ohio.
